Non-invertible Symmetries in Nature

Abstract: I will talk about non-invertible global symmetries in QED and QCD, and how the neutral pion decay rate can be determined from matching this new global symmetry. I will then discuss a non-invertible 1-form symmetry from the anomalous Gauss law in axion-Maxwell theory.
