Fractal functions and probability distributions of their values (qualifying seminar)
Sofiia Ratushniak (Institute of Mathematics, Natl. Acad. Sci. Ukraine)
This is a qualifying seminar organized by Department of Dynamical Systems and Fractal Analysis for preliminary expert examination of the submitted PhD degree thesis.
Two-symbol representations of real numbers are considered. The $Q_2$-representation of numbers is a self-similar generalization of the classic binary representation; and the $Q_2^*$-representation is its non-self-similar generalization. The thesis is devoted to functions defined on interval $[0, 1]$ in terms of $Q_2$- and $Q_2^*$-representations.
