Abstract: Abstract: The study of Fourier-Mukai transforms has led to many fascinating developments, and in this talk we will focus on just one of them. In a 2004 article Bondal, Larsen and Lunts made the daring conjecture that geometric categories should have unique enhancements, and this remarkable conjecture turns out to be true. We will describe the series of theorems that have come out of this conjecture. The recent work, which we will get to at the end of the talk, is joint with Alberto Canonaco and Paolo Stellari.
