 stract\nAbstract: The study of Fourier-Mukai transforms has led to many fa
 scinating developments\, and in this talk we will focus on just one of the
 m. In a 2004 article Bondal\, Larsen and Lunts made the daring conjecture 
 that geometric categories should have unique enhancements\, and this remar
 kable conjecture turns out to be true. We will describe the series of theo
 rems that have come out of this conjecture. The recent work\, which we wil
 l get to at the end of the talk\, is joint with Alberto Canonaco and Paolo
  Stellari.\n
