Abstract: It is well-known that a QFT which is self-dual under gauging invertible symmetries generically admits a non-invertible duality defect (e.g. Kramers-Wannier duality defect in 2d Ising CFT). In this talk, we will discuss the self-duality under gauging non-invertible symmetries in 2d CFT based on the work [arXiv:2310.19867]. We will first use the symmetry $Rep(H_8)$ as an example to demonstrate how to gauge non-invertible symmetries in 2d CFT, and then report some examples of self-duality under gauging $Rep(H_8)$. Finally, we describe the fusion categories containing the new duality defect arising from the self-duality under gauging $Rep(H_8)$.
