Non-invertible symmetries and mixed gravitational anomalies

Abstract: In my talk I will describe how a presence of a mixed anomaly between a global symmetry and gravity can be traded off for non-invertibility of the charge operators. Specifically, I will consider the cases of U(1) and Z4 symmetries (which include fermion parity) in 4d. I will also comment on the relevance for the Standard Model. The talk is based on a joint work with Juven Wang.
