Supersymmetry and Lie algebra deformations

Abstract: I will summarise recent work in collaboration with Andrew Beckett, Paul de Medeiros, and Andrea Santi concerning the generalised Spencer cohomology of Lie superalgebras and its application to the classification problem of supersymmetric supergravity backgrounds and to the construction of supersymmetric field theories in curved space. I will not assume any prior knowledge of supergravity or supersymmetric field theories.
