A model for polycrystalline Ni-Ti shape-memory alloys including plasticity
Barbora Benešová (Charles University)
Abstract: In this talk, I will discuss the interplay between the martensitic transformation and the plastic deformation in polycrystalline NiTi- alloys. I will then propose a phenomenological, macroscopic model capturing both effects within the generalized standard materials modelling framework. Special attention will be paid to distinguishing dependent and independent processes and their accurate modelling. This is a joint work with Miroslav Frost, Martin Kružík, Petr Sedlák and Hanuš Seiner.
