Abstract: In this talk, I will introduce a family of elliptic curves with complex multiplication and explain what the conjecture of Birch and Swinnerton-Dyer says for these curves. I will study the 3-part of the conjecture, and present a non-triviality condition relating the 2-part of the ideal class group of certain cubic field extensions and the 2-Selmer group of the elliptic curves. This is joint work with Yongxiong Li.
