 n this talk\, I will introduce a family of elliptic curves with complex mu
 ltiplication and explain what the conjecture of Birch and Swinnerton-Dyer 
 says for these curves. I will study the 3-part of the conjecture\, and pre
 sent a non-triviality condition relating the 2-part of the ideal class gro
 up of certain cubic field extensions and the 2-Selmer group of the ellipti
 c curves. This is joint work with Yongxiong Li.\n
