Linear forms in polylogarithms
Makoto Kawashima (Nihon University)
Abstract: We shall discuss a recent joint work with Sinnou David and Noriko Hirata. In this talk, we introduce a linear independence criterion of values of generalized Lerch functions. By this criterion, we obtain new linear independence results on the values of polylogarithms at distinct points over an algebraic number field. This is done via a construction of an explicit system of Padé apppoximants of generalized Lerch functions.
