Free Finite Group Actions on Rational Homology Spheres

Abstract: In this talk we will describe joint work with Ian Hambleton on finite group actions on rational homology 3-spheres, focusing on the case of untwisted actions. Applications to hyperbolic manifolds and possible extensions to higher dimensional manifolds will also be discussed. Several examples will be provided.
