Abstract: In the framework of ideal magnetohydrodynamics, a one-dimensional problem of linear Alfven waves propagation is considered in a stationary flow of inhomogeneous plasma along straight uniform magnetic field. Four families of flows are found, in which accelerated and retarded by the flow waves of arbitrary shape can propagate independently of each other, that is, without reflection. It is shown that in two of these families both waves have a similar structure, but in the other two their structures differ significantly.
