Pathologies on the Hilbert scheme of points
Joachim Jelisiejew (University of Warsaw)
Abstract: In the talk I will discuss recent advances in our understanding of singularities and components of the Hilbert scheme of points on a higher-dimensional smooth variety. The key underlying tool, interesting on its own, is the Bialynicki-Birula decomposition in the singular setting. I will mention some open questions.
