Determinants and deformation theory of perfect complexes
Martin Olsson (UC Berkeley)
Abstract: In this talk I will discuss the interplay between the deformation theory of perfect complexes, determinants, and traces. I will discuss, in particular, the verification of an expected compatibility among these that has been used in various places in the literature. For the speaker this project also provided an entry-point to the world of $\infty$-categories, and I will try to motivate why such a perspective is useful. This is joint work with Max Lieblich.
