Abstract: In his doctoral dissertation, Nyman gave in 1950 a necessary and sufficient criterion for the validity of the Riemann hypothesis, in terms of the density of some subspace in L^2(0,1). In 2003, Baez-Duarte gave a modified form of this criterion. The talk will present these two criteria, as well as related results and questions.
