Deformations of exterior differential ideals and applications

Abstract: The main theme of this talk is the geometry of moduli spaces of algebraic singular foliations on smooth projective algebraic varieties over the complex numbers. A motivating problem is the determination of the irreducible components of such moduli spaces. We plan to discuss some basic facts on deformations of exterior differential ideals. With these tools we study deformations of several types of Pfaff ideals, obtaining some new irreducible components of spaces of singular foliations of any codimension. This is based on joint work with Cesar Massri.
