Abstract: The original McKay correspondence was observed by John McKay as a correspondence between a finite subgroup G of SL(2,C) and simple Lie algebra in representation theory and developed as a correspondence between the group G and the minimal resolution of the quotient singularity C^2/G in algebraic geometry. In this talk, I will introduce the McKay correspondence in dimension three and show recent progress and open problems.
