Understanding the distribution of primes in (very) short intervals

Abstract: In joint work with Alyssa Lumley we explore the maximum number of primes in short intervals, both from a heuristic and a computational point-of-view. This leads naturally to questions in sieve theory and probability theory which we will also explore.
