Abstract: We explore the global structure of the global symmetry group across the vast landscape of 6d (1,0) SCFTs. Many of the known 6d SCFTs fall into families related by Higgs branch deformations, where the deformations are associated to either a nilpotent orbit, or a homomorphism from a finite group into E_8; we determine how the flavor group can be written simply in terms of this data. A large class of novel 4d N=2 SCFTs can be obtained by compactifying these 6d (1,0) SCFTs with non-simply-connected flavor group on a torus in the presence of a topologically non-trivial flat flavor bundle characterized by a 't Hooft magnetic flux. We explore the properties of the resulting 4d theories and highlight where there is overlap with previously studied constructions, such as class S and the N=2 S-folds.
