3-manifolds, q-series, and topological strings
Sunghyuk Park (Caltech)
Abstract: Z-hat, also known as the homological block, is an invariant of 3-manifolds valued in BPS q-series introduced by Gukov, Putrov and Vafa in their study of 3d N=2 theory T[M3]. In this talk, I will give a gentle introduction to Z-hat, highlighting some recent developments including the use of R-matrix for Verma modules, generalization to higher rank, the large N-limit and interpretation as open topological string partition functions.
