Abstract: This session aims at providing a basic understanding of SageMath and programming in Python. I will give a short background to SageMath and present a few different ways to use it. We will see some of the differences between using pure Python and using SageMath objects and classes and also introduce some of the elementary functions and packages included in SageMath.
