Abstract: The purpose of this talk is to describe in simple terms the soliton problem for several Boussinesq models, including good, improved and abcd systems. The problem is not simple, because some particular unstable behavior present in each system above mentioned. The idea is to explain the particularities of each system, previous and recent results, and future research, in simple words.
