Defects in 6d SCFTs Leading to 4d N=1 Models
Alessandro Tomasiello (University of Milano-Bicocca)
Abstract: Many superconformal field theories in four dimensions can be obtained by compactifying parent 6D theories on Riemann surfaces. Using holography in massive IIA string theory, I will provide evidence that a large class of such models can be enriched by punctures, generalizing the so-called Class S construction.
