Abstract: S-Branes are objects motivated by superstring theory which appear in a low energy effective action for our four dimensional space-time. I will demonstrate how such branes can be used to obtain nonsingular cosmologies (specifically, a nonsingular realization of the Ekpyrotic scenario) and nonsingular black holes.
