Groups and rings in o-minimal structures

Thu Aug 28, 18:00-19:00 (3 months ago)
Abstract: After a short introduction to o-minimality, I will try to explain connections and interactions between groups and rings that are definable in arbitrary o-minimal structures and familiar objects over the real field: Lie groups and associative algebras. All definitions will be recalled, and many examples will be used to illustrate the general theory.
