Constructing best approximation vectors

Abstract: For v in R^d and arbitrary norm, we define the best approximation sequence of v and the displacement vectors sequence of v. We will discuss classical and recent works in Diophantine approximations in the language of these objects – focusing on their length, direction and congruence class.
