Elliptic cohomology of the unitary group

Abstract: We aim to show that the elliptic cohomology of the (classifying stack of the) unitary group can be calculated as the ring of functions on the Hilbert scheme of points of the associated derived elliptic curve. To this end, we will begin with a discussion of (integral) equivariant elliptic cohomology, due to Jacob Lurie, using the formalism of orbispaces, as developed by myself and Andre Henriques. This is joint work with Lennart Meier.
