Quantum tunneling with magnetic field

Abstract: During this talk I will present a tunneling formula for a 2D Schrödinger operator with a symmetric double-well potential and homogeneous magnetic field. We measure the interaction between the two wells, and observe a new purely magnetic effect. We obtain an asymptotic formula for the spectral gap, which is exponentially small in the semiclassical limit.
