Bounding Laguerre polynomials

Abstract: Laguerre polynomials and their close relatives Padé polynomials have plenty of applications including in the theory of the Riemann zeta function and in the wave function of the hydrogen atom. The bound I wish to talk aboutcame up in the irrationality considerations of the $p$-adic evaluations of Euler's divergent series. I will explain how to simply bound a Laguerre polynomial $L_n$ at 1 with an explicit error term (in n) and how this result can be generalized. This is joint work with Tapani Matala-aho.
