Hilbert Property for Hilbert modular surfaces

Abstract: Work in progress with Damián Gvirtz. We prove the Hilbert Property for several Hilbert modular surfaces. Some of these are K3s, and the elliptic fibration method is employed. As an application, we obtain a positive answer to the inverse Galois problem in some new cases: namely for $PSL_2(F_{p^2})$ for $p$ lying in a union of several arithmetic sequences.
