On the instability of viscous boundary layers

Abstract: Prandtl boundary layers appear when we study the Navier Stokes equations near a boundary as the viscosity goes to zero. The aim of this talk is to review some recents on the instability of such layers (joint work with Y. Guo and T. Nguyen)
