Lagrangian Cobordism and Lagrangian Surgery

Abstract: A Lagrangian cobordism is a Lagrangian submanifold in X x C whose "ends" are Lagrangian submanifolds inside of X. We will show that the Lagrangian cobordisms associated to the Lagrangian surgery operation provide the building blocks for all Lagrangian cobordisms. Finally, we will discuss some of the Floer theoretic implications of this decomposition, extending previous work of Biran and Cornea. This is based on work from arxiv:2102.10197.
