Mean-field evolution and semiclassical limit of many interacting fermions
Chiara Saffirio (University of Basel)
Abstract: We will review recent progresses in the derivation of effective evolution equations for the dynamics of many weakly interacting fermions. We will focus on the mean-field regime and couple it with a semiclassical limit to obtain, as the number of particles goes to infinity, the Hartree-Fock and the Vlasov equations. We will comment on the class of singular interactions and quantum states that we are able to treat, drawing a comparison with the PDE theory of the limiting equations. Based on joint works with J. Chong and L. Laflèche.
