Abstract: I will describe some progress on understanding a model of bosonic spins with disorder averaged couplings, which is quite similar to the SYK model in many regards. What distinguishes it from SYK is the appearance of a spin glass phase at low temperatures, where replica symmetry is broken. I will comment on possible interpretations in AdS2 gravity, where a picture of fragmentation has been explored previously, and a lot of progress has been made recently in understanding the relevance of wormhole geometries.
