Degenerations and metric geometry of collapsing Calabi-Yau manifolds

Abstract: We will give a complete picture of the metric geometry of Calabi-Yau manifolds along degenerations of complex structures, which holds for all dimensions. In particular, we will classify the Gromov-Hausdorff limits on all scales, describe the singularity formation, and formulate a more general conjecture. This is based on my joint work with Song Sun (arXiv: 1906.03368).
