The world of graph braid groups
Ray Sliazkaite (University of Warwick)
Thu Mar 19, 13:30-14:30 (2 weeks ago)
Abstract: Graph braid groups are fundamental groups of special, non-positively curved cube complexes. As a result, they are interesting groups sharing some properties with classical braid groups, right-angled Artin groups, and more. In this talk I will explore various examples illustrating the complicated but beautiful nature of graph braid groups.
