Abstract: It was proved by B. Baumslag and J. Wiegold that a finite group $G$ is nilpotent if and only if $o(x)o(y)=o(xy)$ for every pair of elements $x,y$ of coprime order. In this talk, we will present several theorems that generalize this result.
