Non-abelian T-duality as a transformation in double field theory
Aybike Catal-Ozer (Tech. U. Istanbul)
Abstract: We show that Non-Abelian T-duality (NATD) can be described as a coordinate dependent O(D,D) transformation for supergravity fields in the NS-NS sector and as a Pin(D,D) transformation for the fields in the RR sector. This enables us to show that NATD is a solution generating transformation in Double Field Theory (DFT), by regarding the transformed fields as duality twisted fields in the context ofGauged Double Field Theory (GDFT) of Type II strings. When the isometry algebra is non-unimodular, consistency of GDFT forces the generalized dilaton field to have a linear dependence on the winding type coordinates of DFT, implying that the transformed fields satisfy the field equations of DFT in the generalized supergravity frame. We also discuss briefly the analogous story for Yang-Baxterdeformations.
