Lefschetz Properties

Abstract: Lefschetz properties have been in focus in combinatorics and commutative algebra since Stanley’s proof of the g-Theorem for simplicial polytopes. I will give some background and then I’ll present two projects that I have been working on recently. The first is related to symmetric polynomial and is joint work with Migliore, Nagel and Miró-Roig. The second is related to powers of general linear forms and is joint work with Lundqvist.
