Some applications of Bott's Localization Formula in Enumerative Problems
Jacqueline Arancibia (UFPB)
Abstract: First of all we explain what are the mathematical objects involved in the Bott's localization formula. Next, we apply the Bott's localization formula to resolve the classical problem of four lines (from Schubert's Calculus), as well as, to compute the degree of the subvariety formed by the surfaces of degree d in ${\mathbb P}^3$ containing a conic and two points varying on a fixed line.
