Abstract: In this talk, we will explain how to construct an element in the local Iwasawa cohomology of the galois representation associated to a modular form starting from the modular symbol (0,\infty). By comparing with Kato's Euler system, we show that it is a global cohomological class. This is based on the joint work with Pierre Colmez.
