AdS vacua of non-supersymmetric strings

Abstract: The non-supersymmetric string landscape remains largely unexplored, lacking the systematic tools provided by the supergravity equations. In this talk, I will discuss cases where the equations of motion of tachyon-free, non-supersymmetric string theories can be recast as algebraic conditions. Focusing on the ten-dimensional SO(16)×SO(16) heterotic string, I will then present a systematic framework based on a fictitious Kaluza-Klein reduction, yielding AdS4 solutions on cosets G/H with H-valued gauge fields. If time permits, I will outline the sigma-model version of the systematic approach and comment on the generic features of the resulting vacua.
