Zaremba's conjecture and the circle method

Abstract: Zaremba's conjecture from 1971 states that every natural number is the denominator of a reduced fraction for which the partial quotients in its continued fraction expansion are bounded by an absolute constant. I will try to describe the motivation behind the problem and present some partial progress towards the conjecture.
