Tullenvarvet, the Half-Barathon

Abstract: New academic year, new season of PhD seminars, and what better way to kick it off than to have some guy show you his camera roll for 25 minutes? Following in the spirit of my talk last year about Ruben and I visiting all Gothenburg tram stops using public transport, this seminar will be about me and about a dozen other PhD students visiting all Gothenburg locations of the pub chain Ölstugan Tullen using our feet (i.e., running a half-marathon). In this talk, you will learn about the history of the chain Ölstugan Tullen (the interesting part of which being that it is less interesting than you'd think), the process of DIY medal production, and about the survival rate of our (mis)adventure.

You may think this talk will be entirely devoid of mathematical content, but you'd be wrong; following in the footsteps of many mathematicians who have gone before me, I will increase the apparent mathematical relevance of my talk by bringing up content that is interesting in theory but completely irrelevant in practice.
