Խմբերը իբրև երկրաչափական օբյեկտներ և կարգընթացությունը

Abstract: Խմբերը՝ լինելով ամենակենտրոնական հանրահաշվական օբյեկտներից մեկը, հանդիպում են մաթեմատիկայի գրեթե բոլոր ասպարեզներում։ Իմ ներածական ելույթում ես կխոսեմ վերջավոր ծնված անվերջ (աբստրակտ) խմբերի մասին՝ դիտարկելով նրանց իբրև երկրաչափական օբյեկտներ։ Կխոսեմ նաև կարգընթացության տեսության հետ նրանց ունեցած որոշ առնչությունների մասին և կքննարկեմ կարևոր արդյունքներ՝ վերաբերվող այդ առնչություններին։

Groups as geometric objects and computability

Groups, being one of the pivotal algebraic objects, occur in almost every area of mathematics. In my introductory talk I will discuss finitely generated infinite (abstract) groups, considering them as geometric objects. I will also talk about some of their connections to computability theory and discuss several important results about these connections.
