Generalizations of the Whitham equation

Abstract: In this talk I will present results from comparisons between a variety of bidirectional Whitham equations and experimental results. Additionally, I will present a generalization of the Whitham equation that allows waves to travel in both horizontal directions and nonflat bathymetry.
