Narain to Narnia

Abstract: Recently, a new type of holographic pair has been found, in which quantum gravity theories are dual to random ensembles of quantum mechanical systems in one and two dimensions. This discovery has revived questions on the role of wormholes in quantum gravity and its implications in holography. I will discuss their generalization in the context of three-dimensional gravity theories. Mathematical theory of knots and their relation to hyperbolic geometry plays an important role.
