Using spectra of twisted Laplacians to detect equivalence of Riemannian coverings

Abstract: We show that equivalence of two Riemannian coverings can be detected by the spectrum of finitely many twisted Laplacians on the manifolds (where “twisted” means constructed from a unitary representation of the fundamental group), assuming a condition on the first homology group of a common normal cover.
