Tensor categories arising from the Virasoro algebra

Abstract: Virasoro algebra is one of the most fundamental infinite dimensional Lie algebras and also foundational in two dimensional conformal field theory. In this talk, we will prove the existence of the tensor structure on the representation category of Virasoro algebra using vertex operator algebra tensor category theory, and then study the detailed tensor structures such as the fusion rules and rigidity of these tensor categories.
